Weatherford Police Department News Blotter July 23, 2011

On 07/22/2011 I Officer T.Wainscott #79 Weatherford police department was dispatched to a burglary of a vehicle call, at 0700 Hrs in the 2200 blk of the FT worth Hwy. I spoke with the victim, Laurie Ramos (21yoa HF), who advised that sometime between 07/21/2011, 1500 Hrs and 07/22/2011, 0700 Hrs someone entered her red, 1996, Chevrolet pickup without her consent and stole a Dual AM/FM/CD receiver valued at $70. Ramos also had the front and rear tires on the left side of her pick up cut. Tire replacement estimated at $100 each. Ramos said that the suspect also took misc. articles of clothing from her clothes line outside her residence valued at less than $50. Report taken for Burglary of vehicle, Criminal Mischief, and Theft.

On 07-22-11 at approx 1145 hrs I, Ofc Beniak was dispatched to 225 Adams Dr in reference to a hit and run. Upon my arrival I made contact with Elaine Weatherall W/F 65. Weatherall advised that while she was in 225 Adams, an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle in the back left corner causing damage. Weatherall was unable to provide a detailed value of the damage. A report was taken for Duty Upon Striking Unattended Vehicle and an accident report was completed as well.

On 07-22-11 at approx 1359 hrs I, Ofc Beniak was dispatched to 315 W. Anderson in reference to harassing phone calls. Upon my arrival I made contact with Christina Cormier W/F 42. At that time, the phones in the office were ringing off the hook. Cormier stated that this had been happening for the past two hours and that no matter what they did, the caller would not stop. Cormier advised that the unknown caller was tying up all their lines by calling continuously. This prevented the business from receiving or making any emergency calls. I was advised the number calling. I attempted several times to make contact with the callers but they kept hanging up on me. The callers were male and of foreign descent. A report was taken for Harassment.

On Friday, July 22, 2011 at approximately 2010 hrs, Weatherford Police Officers Watson 66 and Tabor 76 were dispatched to the 1500 block of Jameson St.. in reference to a welfare check on a male subject that appeared to be unconscious on the side of the roadway. Upon arrival I witnessed and later identified Kelly, Wilbur W / M 36, lying under the covered store front of 1500 Jameson St. Kelly, due to his level of intoxication and being in close proximity to a public roadway, presented not only an immediate danger to himself, but to the citizens in the area. Kelly was arrested for Public Intoxication.

On Friday 07/22/11 at approx. 8:38pm Sgt Laine (R/O) and Officer Taber were dispatched to 315 E. Oak Street in reference to a welfare check on a resident at that location ID as Waller, Chayne, w/m 41. Officers located Waller in a trailer on the property. Waller had been drinking and a computer check of Waller showed him to have two outstanding warrants from Parker County Sheriffs Office. The warrants were for Interference with a Emergency call and Assault Family Violence with Bodily Injury. Waller was placed under arrest for the warrants and transported to the PC Jail.
