On Sunday afternoon, June 5th at the Ninth Grade Center the Weatherford ISD offered adult education students an opportunity to walk across the stage and receive recognition for their achievement.

Dr. Cron, WISD Superintendent, spoke at the ceremony and commended the students for their accomplishment and urged them to continue to pursue their goals.

Participants attended classes through the Weatherford ISD Adult Education program. The program served 327 students this year providing over 30,000 student contact hours in GED Preparation and English and a Second Language. This year, 61 adult education students earned their GED, surpassing the number of program participants to do so in any previous year.

Graduates and guests were treated to cake and punch at a reception sponsored by the Adult and Community Education Advisory Council following the ceremony.

For information on enrolling in the WISD Adult Education program, call 817-598-2806, option 4.
