Bridge at Clear Lake Road/Santa Fe Drive/FM 2552
The bridge at Clear Lake Road/Santa Fe Drive/FM 2552 over Interstate 20 will temporally close at 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 13 and re-open to thru traffic by 6:00 a.m. June 14. Motorist traveling south on Santa Fe Drive, headed east on I-20 or south on Clear Lake Road will be re-routed via I-20 to South Main Street for a re-direct to their destination. Motorist traveling north on clear Lake Road, headed west on I-20 or north on Santa Fe Drive will be re-routed via I-20 to Bankhead Hwy. for a re-direct.
In addition, sequential lane closures will occur on I-20 below the 2552 bridge, in both east and west bound lanes, beginning at 7:00 pm until a total closure occurs at 8:00 pm. The closure of I-20 will cause east bound traffic to Exit 409/Clear Lake Road and re-enter I-20 via the on-ramp. West bound traffic will use Exit 409/Santa Fe Drive for thru travel.
The June 13 closures allow construction crews to pour the bridge deck on the new Holland Lake/Fossil Hill Bridge across I20. In the event of inclement weather, this portion of the project will be rescheduled at a later date.
For your safety and the safety of the construction crews, please heed all posted construction zone warnings and allow additional time for delays when traveling. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact Larry Wright at 817-565-7152.
