WHS Blue Belles win National Championship in Galveston

Congratulations to the WHS BLUE BELLES for achieving National Champions at Showtime International National Dance/Drill Team Contest held this past weekend at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. The Belles team, officers and individuals competed along with 50 other teams and the awards are as follows:

As National Champions, all 70 Blue Belles received individual trophies and 2011 National Champion jackets. This is the first time the Belles have competed in a National Championship.

In additon, Nika Orm Carter was awarded the 2011 SHOWTIME CEO Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award is given to Directors and Contributors to the Dance/Drill Team Industry for their service to the art of dance.
