A retirement party will be held for Myrna Sam from 4:15-5:50 p.m. Friday, May 31 at the Aledo High School Library. Former students and the public are invited to attend.
Project Celebration will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13, at the DLC at Aledo High School for the last meeting before prom. Volunteers and chaperones for prom and Main Event need to attend. The Aledo High School Drill Team (the Orange Crush) will have its first annual Spring Show at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 in the high school auditorium. The performance will include dances from the 2012 football season as well as several brand new numbers prepared for the show.

The Aledo High School Student Council is having a coat drive benefiting Coats for Kids until Friday, Nov. 30. Take new and gently used coats to Aledo High School Room 408.

Aledo High School will have a canned food drive benefiting the Center of Hope until Friday, Dec. 21. Take canned food to Aledo High School Room 408.
The Aledo High School Band will perform its Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 in the Aledo High School Auditorium.

The Aledo High School Choir will host a family fun event from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at First Financial Bank in Aledo. Funds raised at the event will be used to send choir members to a leadership conference. Activities will include face painting, kids activities, a bake sale and photo ops.

"Meet the Band Night” will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 on the practice parking lot next to the Don Daniel Ninth Grade Center. This event is a perfect opportunity to get a sneak peek of what the 2012 Bearcat Regiment has in store for its fans this year and to learn more about AISD band program.
Everyone is invited to this exciting event, but all parents and families of band students and potential band students are encouraged to attend in order to gather information and to get the scoop on the upcoming school year. Hot dogs and snow cones will be available to purchase, so bring your lawn chair and make it an evening of fun. Immediately following “Meet the Band” is the annual wacky “Band Olympics” where the high school band sections compete against each other while wearing crazy costumes. This event will be held on the practice football field next to the ninth grade building.

Students at Aledo High School (grades 10-12) may pick up schedules for the coming school year on Aug. 10 at the AHS cafeteria. The following schedule applies:
Seniors: 9-10 a.m.
Juniors: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Sophomores: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Students will not be able to pick up their schedules prior to the scheduled time; however, schedules will be available in the office afterward. Schedules may only be picked up by the student or the student’s parents.
