Trailing two games to one to rival Granbury in a regional final volleyball match in Abilene, the Aledo Ladycats rallied to take the next two games to win the match in five games and earn a trip to the Class 5A state volleyball tournament next week in Garland.
The Ladycats fell 28-26 in the opening game but squared the match with a 25-20 win in game two.
Granbury took game three, 25-19, to put pressure on the Ladycats as the Lady Pirates led 2-1 in games.
With the pressure on, the Ladycats followed with their strongest game of the match.
Aledo jumped out to a 13-5 lead and cruised to a 25-15 win to tie the match at 2-2.
