Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler and Parker County Sheriff’s Posse are hosting a pancake supper honoring the fallen DART and Dallas Police officers who lost their lives in Dallas on Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Coordinators of the event are seeking “donations only” for each dinner. Local businesses are assisting in sponsoring the free supper, including iHop, Wal-Mart of Weatherford, First National Bank of Weatherford, Office Max, Taco Casa, Plains Capital Bank, Ben E. Keith Co. Foodservice Distributors and Dunkin’ Donuts.

Special Guest Bill Ford of Storm Warriors will deliver a brief speech about the recent events affecting our communities. Pastor Brian Bond of Greenwood Baptist Church will deliver the opening invocation.

The pancake supper will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Clubhouse located at 2251 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford, Texas 76088.

PC Sheriff’s Posse Captain Larry Sullivan said 100-percent of the funds raised will be donated to the families of DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police) Officer Brent Thompson, and Dallas Police Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, Sergeant Mike Smith, Officer Patrick Zamarripa and Officer Michael Krol.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the event will be our community’s way of supporting the families of the officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

“Right now, we need to focus on displaying our support to these families and departments,” Sheriff Fowler said. “It is our hopes that through this event, they will know we stand behind them and truly honor their service.”

Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Captain Larry Sullivan said his daughter, Madison, the 2014 Posse Sweetheart, approached him with the idea of hosting an event to honor the fallen officers.

“I was thrilled about her idea,” Captain Sullivan said. “I challenged her to coordinate the event. She has done a terrific job at planning it on such short notice. This tragedy has affected us all. There is no higher calling than to be a public servant. The men and women who serve deserve to be recognized. We also hope this event will honor the men who lost their lives, as well as their departments and their families.”

To donate or become a business sponsor, please contact Renee’ Sullivan at (817) 907-3220, or Madison Sullivan at (817) 307-7441.
